Pardew: Saints moved up a level

03 March 2010 11:27
Rickie Lambert, Lee Barnard, Jason Puncheon, Dean Hammond and Papa Waigo fired Saints to their second five-goal haul of the week and continue their unbeaten league start to 2010.[LNB]Huddersfield, in losing their first League One match since December, were second-best throughout and could not live with the home side's thrilling attacking football.[LNB]Pardew said: "It was an outstanding team display and there was some great football played. We were hurt by the defeat at Huddersfield earlier in the season so there was a bit of that in there as well.[LNB]"They are a very lively side but we got them on the back foot quickly and had so much quality going forward.[LNB]"From now on it is about keeping players focused and fit because that was a new level from what we have played this season. There is still a long way to go. We are trying to catch teams who are winning and we are going to need a lot of luck but if we keep playing like that not many teams will be able to live with us."[LNB][LNB]
