Pardew relieved as Saints finally win

Pardew, whose side remain rooted to the foot of League One despite a first win in eight league games, saw penalties in either half from striker Rickie Lambert - the second a very dubious handball by Richard Martin - sink Terry Skiverton's side at St Mary's on Saturday.[LNB]"There is relief in the dressing room," said Pardew.[LNB]"That was a great win for us though and I firmly believe it will be our most important win of the entire season. When we scored it was like someone injected us with apprehension, but once we got the second we settled.[LNB]"The second penalty was fortunate - I thought the linesman was flagging against us - but it was a deserved slice of luck because we haven't had too much this season."[LNB][LNB]
