Pardew fires warning to Saints

Saints, playing their first game in English football's' third tier for almost 50 years, were the better side for much of the game against last season's beaten League One play-off finalists but Pardew is remaining realistic.[LNB]"I'm pleased with the way we played but we are some way away from their level at the moment," he said. "We faltered a bit towards the end and while I was having to throw on young boys - who all did fantastically - you look at their bench and they had power and experience that we don't have.[LNB]"I thought that besides Morgan Schneiderlin, who was superb, we lacked a little bit of composure and we need to bring players to the club who have the experience to shut a game down.[LNB]"But it's proving difficult though that clubs think we are going to be throwing money around but that isn't the case, we need to be sensible."[LNB][LNB]
