Pardew can't wait for FA Cup draw
Pardew, who guided West Ham to the final of the competition in 2006 only to see his side lose to Liverpool on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, wants a home tie when the draw is made on Sunday.
"The FA Cup is a very important competition for us, for the fans and for us as a group. We're a new team and we want to do well in the cup," Pardew told the club's official website.
"We will play a very strong side regardless of the draw and we're looking forward to seeing who we're going to be facing.
"I would like a home draw, it's important for us because we'll be looked at as a giant-killing whoever we draw.
"You don't really want to go away to a non-League ground that you don't know too much about as an away game is difficult in the FA Cup, whether you're Manchester United or Salisbury City."
