Pardew aiming high
Manager Alan Pardew believes Southampton could be challenging in the Barclays Premier League within two years.
The Saints are eighth in their first season in Coca-Cola League One but would be in the automatic promotion shake-up had they not suffered a 10 point deduction.
And Pardew believes a good campaign next time out could be the catalyst for a return to the top flight.
"We've seen over the years teams can jump through two divisions in two years if the roots are right," he told the Southern Daily Echo.
