No targets yet for Saints striker
The Irish striker has joined Saints on a free transfer after being released by Sunderland over the summer, but his main focus at the moment is getting himself fit enough to be a part of boss Alan Pardew's plans.
"My target is train, play and see if I can get in the team," he
told the Daily Echo.
"I haven't set too many targets because I'm not too sure about goals at the moment. I'm just taking each day at a time and taking it from there.
"My goal is to do my best for the club, and everyone knows where the club wants to be and that's not in League One.
"As a club we have to show and prove that we can get out. It won't be easy but all the lads and myself are up for the challenge."
