Mixed news for Adkins
Dale Stephens is added to the Southampton squad for the visit of MK Dons.
Stephens joined Saints on loan from Oldham last week and could make an immediate debut for Nigel Adkins` side with an injury concern hanging over Adam Lallana while fellow midfielders Alex Chamberlain and Morgan Schneiderlin miss out.
Lallana should recover from a groin injury in time but teenage star Chamberlain rolled his ankle against Charlton a fortnight ago and is possibly looking at a couple of weeks on the sidelines.
Schneiderlin is still out with a knee injury and joins winger Lee Holmes (ankle) and striker David Connolly (groin) in the treatment room.
Midfielder Oscar Gobern serves the final game of the three-match ban he received for his red card at Bournemouth.
