Lambert in line for Saints comeback

Rickie Lambert is poised to return to the Southampton starting line-up for Saturday's visit of Leyton Orient. The striker, who hit an amazing 37 goals last season, sat out the opening-day defeat by Plymouth with a groin injury. But Lambert came on for the final 10 minutes of last week's Carling Cup win over Bournemouth and Saints boss Alan Pardew is ready to unleash his star frontman from the start against the Os. "I've had a few setbacks in pre-season with injuries and I wasn't really wanting to put him on for 10 minutes," Pardew told the Echo. "But for him to have a chance for Saturday he had to have a little run-around, he did that and he's fine."
