Lallana not looking far ahead

Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana insists the squad of players at St Mary's are not getting carried away, despite winning their last four games.

Fans are dreaming that they can hit the play-offs following their promising spell in the league.

The club have now wiped off their ten-point deduction and are off the foot of the table, but Lallana believes it is important to look at the next milestone - getting out of the relegation zone.

Speaking to Daily Echo, he said: "I don't think we can look to the play-offs.

"It's a relief to be off the bottom and hopefully we will be able to get out of the bottom four as quickly as possible.

"As and when we get out of the bottom four, climb the table, then hit mid-table then you can start looking at play-offs."
