Jaidi set to make first Saints start

Jaidi came on as a late substitute during last weekend's 1-1 draw at Charlton and managed 75 minutes for the reserves in midweek to build up his match fitness.

Fellow new-boy Papa Waigo N'Diaye also played for the second string but manager Alan Pardew will probably start with the Senegalese striker on the bench again.

Winger Lee Holmes is fit following a groin problem so Graeme Murty and Kayne McLaggon are Saints' only injury absentees.

Veteran full-back Murty is still recovering from a knee injury and young winger McLaggon is two or three weeks away with his Achilles problem.
