Impact men pay off for Adkins

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins revealed he calls his bench warmers "impact players" after substitute Alex Chamberlain's match-winning cameo on Saturday.The young striker came on to grab the winner as Saints came from behind to sink Oldham 2-1 at St Mary's."That's the first time this season we have come back from a goal down to win so we've laid that particular bogey to rest," said Adkins."The substitutes made an impact and I always tell the players that it's a 14-man game."Before the game I don't put substitutes down, I call them `impact players' because they either come on to win the game or to save it."
