Southampton boss Alan Pardew will be without Dean Hammond for the trip to MK Dons in the first leg of Johnstone's Paint Trophy area final. Hammond is set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury during Saturday's 1-1 draw at Millwall. The 26-year-old midfielder could be facing a fortnight out after suffering an Achilles problem 10 minutes before the interval at The Den. Radhi Jaidi again looks set to be missing after he experienced defender suffered an eye injury in training. He is expected to be out for around a fortnight while Graeme Murty is still sidelined with an ankle injury. Pardew's men are expected to be backed by around 3,000 Southampton fans at stadium:mk, but Jon Otsemobor is ineligible to feature.
