Former Saints star facing charges
The 36-year-old from Southampton is alleged to have been over the drink-drive limit after a crash involving his Audi car and a van on the M3 near Winchester, Hampshire, on May 6.
The Norwegian retired last year due to injury after 12 years playing for Southampton in the Premier League and Championship.
He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on May 28, a Hampshire Police spokesman said.
