Fonte retains promotion hope
Southampton defender Jose Fonte has warned play-off chasing Colchester to watch their backs.
Saints' slim top-six hopes took another dent as they were held 2-2 at Brighton on Thursday night but Portuguese star Fonte is refusing to chuck in the towel.
The south-coast side are 11 points behind Colchester, who are in sixth spot but suffering a dip in form themselves.
"I think Colchester will be looking at our draw as a good result for them, but we are after them," said Fonte.
"We are chasing them and we still believe we can catch them. In the end we will see."
