Duo missing for Saints

Southampton will be without Danny Butterfield and David Connolly for the visit of Dagenham.Defender Butterfield has been playing through the pain of a thigh problem recently and a small tear was discovered before Saturday's win over Notts County.Summer signing Frazer Richardson, who had been sidelined since pre-season with a shoulder injury, finally made his debut in Butterfield's absence and will continue at right-back.Striker Connolly is still missing with a stomach problem but boss Nigel Adkins has plenty of attacking options in Rickie Lambert, Lee Barnard, Nicholas Bignall and Guly Do Prado.Midfielder Richard Chaplow plays the final game of his initial one-month loan from Preston but Adkins is holding talks over an extension to the deal.
