Duo set for Saints return

Southampton could be boosted by the return of Wayne Thomas and Morgan Schneiderlin for the visit of managerless Leyton Orient. Long-term absentee Thomas (torn calf) and midfielder Schneiderlin (hamstring) both hope to recover in time to feature for Saints. David Connolly will be hoping to make the squad after being left out of Thursday's 2-2 draw against Brighton. Lee Barnard is pushing for a starting berth after coming off the bench to score a last-gasp equaliser in that clash. But long-term absentee Graeme Murty remains sidelined with an ankle injury. Alan Pardew's men sit 11 points adrift of the play-off places following an impressive run of form that has seen them lose just two league games since the turn of the year.
