Downes handed Saints post

Southampton have named the former Brentford manager Wally Downes as their new first-team coach.
Saints boss Alan Pardew has already brought assistant manager Dean Wilkins and chief scout Stuart Murdoch to St Mary's and is pleased to have tempted Downes to the south coast.
Pardew said: "I'm delighted to have been able to add Wally to my backroom staff at Southampton.
"He'll add further experience that will make him an invaluable member of the coaching team and I'm looking forward to working alongside him."
