Double trouble for Saints
Jon Otsemobor and Michail Antonio will be missing from the Southampton squad for the trip to MK Dons.
Right-back Otsemobor was ruled out of Tuesday night's defeat by Swindon with an ankle problem and winger Antonio was also sidelined after picking up a knock, with the pair thought to be another week way from returning.
Midfielder Lloyd James (ankle) and striker David Connolly (groin) returned from injury lay-offs as substitutes in midweek and came through unscathed.
Veteran right-back Graeme Murty is the only long-term absentee following ankle surgery which is likely to keep him out for the rest of the season.
Midfielder Jason Puncheon returns to his former club having been booked nine times this season and knowing one more yellow card will trigger a two-match ban.
