Southampton goalkeeper Kelvin Davis has called for all the club's fans to give the side total backing in their bid to avoid relegation from the Championship.
Off-field problems continue to dog the St Mary's club, with plc chairman Rupert Lowe having held talks with head coach Jan Poortvliet earlier this week.
Davis told the club's official website: "Personally, I believe that I am playing for a fantastic football club with a fantastic set-up, fantastic history and, along with that, fantastic support.
"Surviving this season could be the platform for this club to go on to do something very special and I want to be here to see that happen.
"It's up to us as players to win games and keep your support by giving 100 per cent, but it's also up to the fans to stick together as well, because we all have a key role to play.
"It's vital for everyone to stick together and stay focused on what we all want to achieve, because together we can do something special."
