Davis - Saints season still alive

Kelvin Davis insists Southampton's season is not over despite their play-off dream slipping further away this week. Tuesday night's goalless draw at home to Oldham has left Saints seven points behind sixth-placed Huddersfield with just nine to play for. But goalkeeper and club captain Davis has vowed not to give up the chase, starting on Saturday against Carlisle - the team they thrashed 4-1 in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final last month. "We'll pick ourselves up and brush ourselves down for another home game against a team who are going to want to prove us wrong after the cup final," said Davis. "So we will have to be up for the game otherwise we'll come off the pitch embarrassed. "We'll certainly be looking to win the last three games, the manager and the players expect that, so we'll approach those games to win them and keep three clean sheets."
