Davis ruled out of Cobblers cup clash
Davis suffered a groin injury during Tuesday night's 3-1 win at Hartlepool and could be sidelined until the new year, so Polish understudy Bartosz Bialkowski gets a rare chance.[LNB]Manager Alan Pardew will have to make at least one other change to his starting line-up as on-loan Preston defender Neal Trotman does not have permission to play in the competition, so Wayne Thomas or Chris Perry will step into the back four.[LNB]Chelsea youngster Jacob Mellis, who has been limited to a place on the bench recently, is also ineligible.[LNB]Midfielder Joseph Mills could return from illness but striker Marek Saganowski is sidelined after suffering a knee injury in training last week.[LNB][LNB]
