Crouch makes plea to Saints fans

The Saints are in a relegation battle to stay in the Championship, as well as being £30million in debt and searching for a new buyer after parent company Southampton Leisure Holdings went into administration. And 59-year-old businessman Crouch, who left the club in May 2008, has urged Saints fans to do all they can to help save the club "We have found ourselves in the most perilous position imaginable, but the time has come for all of us to guarantee the club's long-term survival." said Crouch. "We cannot ignore the facts. We need to raise the money, and lots of it or else it will be too late. "We all have a stake in this football club and in the community that it forms such a vital part of and to see the city of Southampton without a football team would truly be a tragedy."
