Crouch keeps Saints going - Reports

Crouch, who was ousted 12 months ago, declined to comment on speculation he contributed towards April's wage bill and has reportedly again agreed to help towards paying May's if a buyer for the troubled club is not sought in time. The 59-year-old is also understood to have contributed £50,000 to Saints back at the start of April after the club's parent company, Southampton Leisure Holdings plc, entered administration. The news follows Monday's announcement by Mark Fry of administrator Begbies that finding a buyer looks "very unlikely". The Pinnacle consortium, which is supported by Matt Le Tissier, had their deadline extended and they remain confident of launching a bid, but Fry insists they have failed to deliver what they agreed. There are other parties believed to interested in saving the recently-relegated League One club, although Saints' future appears to be up in the air.
