Southampton target Inigo Calderon has signed a new three-year contract with Brighton. The Spanish right-back was thought to be on the verge of signing for Saints after the Seagulls withdrew their original contract offer when the deadline they had set the player expired. At the time Calderon wanted more time in order to speak to Alan Pardew and co but now he has decided his future does lie at the Withdean. The 28-year-old, who joined Albion on a free in January after he left Alaves, made 19 appearances last season, scoring once.
