Saints do not have a midweek game for a change this week, allowing a full seven days to prepare for Saturday's trip to relegation rivals Blackpool.
"It's very important, we are still with four or five players who are not used to this intense schedule and intense programme," said Wotte.
"It's another discipline, it's another rhythm to play so many games."
