Southampton goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski has penned a new four-year deal with the Saints and says that he is determined to win his first-team place back.
The Polish teenager sustained a cruciate ligament injury in February, but has battled back to full fitness and is scheduled to play for the reserves against West Ham United's second string on Tuesday.
"I know Kelvin Davis is the number one and he's a very good and experienced keeper, but I will work hard in every training session and hope the gaffer notices me," the 19-year-old told the Saints' official website.
"I'm young and have time. I've signed a four-year deal which I was very happy about.
"It was an easy decision because I'm very happy here. I love the club and the city and have many friends, Polish and English.
"It's a fantastic club and I really think we can get back up to the Premier League - and I hope I can help."
