Bayern Munich midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is set to join Southampton in the next few days, Press Association Sport understands.

Sadio Mane, Victor Wanyama and Juanmi have left St Mary's this summer, with striker Graziano Pelle expected to soon complete a £13million move to China.

Nathan Redmond has arrived from Norwich and Press Association Sport understands Hojbjerg is set to become the first signing under recently-appointed manager Claude Puel.

The 20-year-old Denmark international has been at Bayern Munich since 2012, spending time on loan at Augsburg and most recently Schalke.

Hojbjerg is now set to swap the Bundesliga for the Premier League, with Southampton reportedly paying 15 million euros (£12.8million) for the midfielder.
