Adkins wants more

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins wants a vast improvement from his defenders against Carlisle next weekend after they threw away two points in Saturday's 4-4 draw at Peterborough. Saints were leading 2-0 and 4-2 at London Road but were pegged back by a late penalty from Lee Tomlin and are now eight points behind leaders Brighton. "To concede four goals is annoying because you can't do that," said Adkins. "The players are well aware of that and we've got to make sure we do better. "We've got to make sure we analyse the game and get ready for the next one. We've got 19 games to go."
