Turner happy with win

Shrewsbury Town manager Graham Turner was happy to come away with three points after seeing his team grind out a slender 1-0 victory at Macclesfield.Matt Harrold's third-minute goal secured the points for the Shrews, who are expected to be in the mix for promotion this season.Turner said he was content for performances to be sacrificed in the way of results. He said: "We knew it would be a very difficult place to come to, they are strong, have a lot of height in the side and are very well organised and will definitely upset a few sides here, so we are very grateful to take all three points."Some days, as in midweek, you can play some flowing football and score four goals, but on other days you've just got to grind out a result and I thought our boys played with determination, hard work and a great deal of intelligence."Our centre-backs, Ian Sharps and Daniel O'Donald covered well, got their headers in and defended superbly. They're experienced lads, but in truth I thought we defended really well throughout the side. That said, I really would have preferred it if we could have retained the ball better and played more football."
