Turner bemoans profligacy

Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner was frustrated to see his side fail to take their opportunities in the goalless draw at Burton. The Shrews were gifted the chance to get their new year off to a flying start in the eighth minute when Matt Harrold pounced on a weak back pass by Burton defender Nathan Stanton but dragged his shot wide with only goalkeeper Adam Legzdins to beat."It was a difficult one to assess, a scrappy sort of game. It's always a difficult place to come because Burton have some experienced players in their side, but we had the best chance of the game and should have scored from it," said Turner."Other than that, I didn't think either keeper was really tested in terms of the saves they had to make."So there's a tinge of disappointment from my point of view that we didn't take that one good chance that came our way to go home with all three points."Matt Harrold got onto a bad backpass and should have at least hit the target, but in fairness to him he's been in a physical battle and he's done okay for the side, as has young Tom Bradshaw."
