Shrewsbury Town manager Gary Peters is delighted to have persuaded highly-rated striker Michael Symes to pen a new long-term contract with the club.
The 23-year-old, who initially moved to Gay Meadow on loan from Bradford City at the start of this season, has scored 12 goals in only 21 starts for the Shrews.
"We've signed Symesy on a new two-and-a-half year contract." Peters told the club's official website.
"He had his injury problems over the last two years while he was at Bradford City and missed some football but, now he's back playing regularly, he's thriving on it."
