Simpson hails 'fantastic' Holt

Shrewsbury Town manager Paul Simpson hailed five-goal hero Grant Holt after Tuesday's demolition of Wycombe Wanderers.

The Shrews cruised to an amazing 7-0 victory at Adams Park to progress serenely into the next round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

"I thought from the first minute tonight we were absolutely fantastic," said a thrilled Simpson.

"The way we passed the ball about, we were strong, we were positive and the finishing was first class.

"Grant Holt's finishing tonight was fantastic, absolutely superb. I couldn't have asked for any more.

"I'm not pinching myself because I've seen it with my own eyes and know that we're capable of this."
