Shrews receive Grandison boost

Fit-again Jermaine Grandison could make his first appearance for three months as Shrewsbury entertain second-placed Bournemouth, but Mark Wright is facing a battle to play again this season.

Defender Grandison has been on the verge of making his comeback for some time having suffered a troublesome hip injury in mid-January, and he finally got some much-needed minutes under his belt in midweek as he played an hour for Town's reserve side.

He suffered no ill-effects and could well come into the frame against the promotion-chasing Cherries.

However, winger Wright, who has only recently overcome a long-term knee injury, suffered a hip problem in training and is currently back on the sidelines. He could, though, rejoin his team-mates next week and would then stand an outside chance of featuring before the end of the campaign.

Defenders Darren Jones (dislocated shoulder), Cameron Gayle (hamstring) and Rob Edwards (thigh) all continue to miss out.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is unlikely to make any changes to his side after Eunan O'Kane was passed fit.

The midfielder has returned to training after suffering a foot injury in the 3-1 win over Notts County, leaving Howe close to a fully-fit squad.

Only long-term injury absentees Miles Addison, Stephen Purches and Stephane Zubar are unavailable for the Cherries, who have won their last six outings.

Howe has named the same starting XI for the last two games and is not expected to tinker as his side look to take another step towards promotion.

With three games left, Bournemouth are two points clear of third-placed Brentford, who have a game in hand, and two points behind leaders Doncaster.
