Shrews sweating on Coughlan

Published: 05 Feb 2010 - 11:00:26

The Town centre-back picked up a hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw at Burton in mid-January and although he has now made a full recovery, manager Paul Simpson remains uncertain as to whether he is ready to be thrown back into match action. There are also doubts surrounding the availability of right-back Dean Holden after his hamstring problem was deemed more serious than first thought. Youngster Danny Taylor, who has stepped in of late, is suffering with a sore throat but should be okay if needed. Goalkeeper Andres Arestidou (hernia) and striker Jake Simpson (knee) continue to sit out as the Shrews embark on a crucial series of six games that Simpson insists will play a big part in the club's battle for promotion.
