Shrews stars set to return

Shrewsbury Town manager Paul Simpson hopes to have a fully-fit squad to choose from for this weekend's League Two clash with Rotherham United.

Last month's FA Cup first round defeat at Blyth Spartans could be a blessing in disguise for the Shrews as several players have used the two-week break from League Two action to step up their fitness levels.

Simpson told the Shropshire Star: "Mike Jackson's still got a little bit of soreness in his back but joined in training and Shane Sherriff also trained on Monday.

"Luke Daniels is coming along okay. He's saying there's a possibility he could be fit for Saturday but that may be too early.

"Kelvin Langmead played most of the game against Dagenham with a back spasm but he should be fine for Saturday."
