Shrewsbury Town boss Paul Simpson has moved quickly to sign a new goalkeeper after Luke Daniels picked up an injury in training.
Blackpool shot-stopper Matthew Gilks has agreed to join the Shrews on a month's loan, and Simpson thinks he will be a useful acquisition.
He told the club's official website: "On Thursday morning Luke joined in training and one of the first kicks he did after doing his warm-up saw something go again.
"We now have the possibility that he might be out for another three weeks which is really disappointing as he's been doing well.
"However, Matt Gilks is a very, very good goalkeeper and that's shown by the fact that he's gone to Championship clubs such as Norwich and Blackpool.
"Even though he hasn't played that many games he's been at Championship level and I'm pleased that we've been able to bring him in."
