Shrewsbury Town boss Gary Peters has added Liverpool teenager Jimmy Ryan to his squad.

The 18-year-old midfielder joins the Shrews on a one-month loan deal.

Ryan impressed Peters during pre-season training and has been included in the squad for Tuesday's Carling Cup first round clash with Colchester United.

The teenager has been signed because the Shrews have a lengthy injury list that currently includes Colin Murdock, Danny Hall and Darren Moss.
