Shrews seal double deal

Shrewsbury Town manager Gary Peters has continued to strengthen his promotion-chasing squad by snapping up Crawley Town striker Guy Madjo and Stockport County utility man Keith Briggs.
Ex-Forest Green Rovers and Stafford Rangers forward Madjo scored 11 goals in only 18 appearances for Crawley before moving to Cheltenham Town on loan in November where he failed to score in five games.
"We've signed Guy Madjo on a two-and-a-half year contract," Peters told the Shrews' official website.
"He's scored a lot of goals in the Conference and his record is a goal in just over every two games.
"We've paid £20,000 which is a good deal when you look at the money Conference teams are asking."
Of Briggs' arrival at the New Meadow on non-contract terms, Peters added: "He only had a contract until January with Stockport and they offered him another one that he turned down.
"Keith thought it was a great set-up here and a great football club that's going forward."
