Shrewsbury Town defender Neil Ashton is poised to make his first appearance of the season in Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy trip to Yeovil Town.
The 22-year-old has been sidelined since fracturing an elbow during a pre-season friendly.
Ashton has now been given the all-clear to return to action and will play some part in the cup clash with the Glovers.
"It's good to have the game with Yeovil as it means Neil Ashton can have a game," Town manager Gary Peters told the club's official website.
"He's been given the all-clear to resume games and he'll be getting a game tomorrow.
"With Ashy back that puts a lot of pressure onto the other lads in the side.
"He can put pressure at left-back on Marc Tierney, he can put pressure on the left of midfield on Marc Pugh and he can also put pressure on the central midfield two."
