    Shrews keeper set for exit

    30 Dec 2008 - 14:36:57

Shrewsbury Town have granted goalkeeper Scott Bevan permission to make his loan spell at Torquay United into a permanent transfer.

Bevan will officially become a Gulls player on January 1.

Meanwhile, Town manager Paul Simpson is hoping to extend the loan stay of fit-again keeper Luke Daniels from West Bromwich Albion.

"Luke has looked back to the level that he had before he picked up the injury," he told the club's official website.

"West Brom are allowing us to extend his loan, initially for an emergency loan period to take us through to the end of January.

"If everything goes to plan then they will allow us to keep the loan until the end of the season which I am delighted about.

"Luke is a good quality young keeper and I think he will benefit from staying with us."
