Shrews extend keeper stay

Shrewsbury Town have secured a contract extension with West Bromwich Albion to keep goalkeeper Luke Daniels until January.

Daniels, 20, joined on loan on the eve of the new campaign and has played in all three of the Shrews' games so far this season.

The keeper began his career as a trainee at Manchester United before joining the Baggies in 2004.

"West Brom are happy how we've been treating Luke and how he's playing," manager Paul Simpson told the club's official website.

"I think he's got better with each game he's played for us and hopefully he will improve even more."
