Shrewsbury Town have signed former West Bromwich Albion youngster Chris Humphrey on a one-year contract.
The 18-year-old midfielder was out of contract with the Baggies and can join the Shrews after the transfer window shut as a result, having impressed during a recent reserve team game.
Town boss Gary Peters told the club's official website: "It's a case of getting him into training, but he's the type of player that you'd put on the bench straight away.
"To have a player with pace who can come and change games is a great addition to the squad.
"We've got Ben Herd, Dave Edwards and Ben Davies who can play wide right, but Chris is an out and out right winger and is something different."
