Peters worried about Hunt

Shrewsbury Town's summer recruit David Hunt is already a doubt for the start of the new season dye to a knee injury.

The 24-year-old former Northampton Town schemer suffered a recurrence of a knee problem before reporting for pre-season training and Town boss Gary Peters is a worried man.

He told the Shropshire Star: "David wasn't with us for the play-offs so whereas our players had five weeks off, he's had eight.

"If he doesn't do anything for the next couple of weeks we are looking at 12 weeks without David doing much, so he would have to be a worry for the start of the season.

"We want to get David out there as soon as possible, because he is a good midfield player who we are looking forward to seeing."
