Peters pounces for Tierney

Shrewsbury Town manager Gary Peters has bolstered his play-off seeking squad by capturing the Oldham Athletic defender Marc Tierney.
The 21-year-old has signed a deal that will keep him at Gay Meadow until June 2009.
"It's quite a pleasing situation as I've been after this lad for 18 months," Peters told the Shrews' official website.
"He's a left-sided player who can play any position down the left-side, left-back, left centre-back in a three as well."
Tierney made 47 appearances for the Latics, but has been a regular on the substitutes bench this term.
