Shrewsbury Town manager Paul Simpson has released five players as a disappointing season for the club comes to an end.

Luke Jones, Colin Murdock, Jimmy Ryan, Martin Riley and Michael Barnes have all been told their futures lie elsewhere.

Meanwhile, young striker Tom Moss has not been offered a professional contract with the Shrews and Asa Hall, who has spent the second half of the season on loan from Birmingham City, is in discussions about a permanent move to the New Meadow.

Youth team goalkeeper Jasbir Singh has accepted a 12-month contract with the club.
