Landmark excites Langmead

Kelvin Langmead could play his 200th game for Shrewsbury Town on Saturday and insists he has nothing but love for the club.

At 24 years of age the defender will be one of the youngest players to achieve the landmark and, in his five years with the club, Langmead has seen a notable improvement - on and off the pitch.

"The whole cub has completely changed since I arrived with the new ground and everything is in place now for the club to get promoted and push on," he told the Shropshire Star.

"The chairman is ambitious, the manager is ambitious and the players are ambitious and want to test themselves at a higher level.

"We've now got eight games to try and finish the job off."
