Labadie eyes long Shrews stay

Shrewsbury Town have swooped to sign Joss Labadie on loan from West Bromwich Albion.

The 18-year-old midfielder has signed a one-month deal with the League Two outfit to begin a second spell with the club.

A similar agreement between the clubs was cut short last season due to a metatarsal injury.

But Labadie is hoping to make a sufficient impression on manager Paul Simpson this time around as he bids for regular first-team football.

"Hopefully I can make it last a little longer this time and get through to January," Labadie told the club's official website.

"It's great to be back, though, and I'm really looking forward to the challenge ahead.

"It's a lovely club to come back to and you just have to look around at the facilities here. I can't wait to get cracking in training and hopefully get my chance in the first team."
