Shrewsbury Town striker Glynn Hurst is set to join Bury on a month's loan after slipping down the pecking order at Gay Meadow.
An Achilles injury has kept Hurst out of the Town line-up this season and Shrews boss Gary Peters believes a stint at Gigg Lane will help his player.
He told Town's official website: "It's a difficult decision to make but Glynn needs to be playing first-team football.
"It would be nice to see Glynn go to Bury and score half a dozen goals, get himself back into the swing of things and then bring him back here to score for us."
Hurst joined Town in January from Notts County and scored three goals in 16 appearances during the second half of last season.
