Hibbert concern for Shots meeting

Published: 19 Mar 2010 - 11:56:00

The 24-year-old sustained a groin injury in training last Thursday and was expected to be out for up to a month. But having missed last weekend's 1-0 defeat to leaders Rochdale, he could now be back in the frame. With the problem not as serious as first anticipated, Hibbert's speedy recovery will come as a huge boost to the club's promotion hopes. Dean Holden also returns from suspension but Town will, however, will be without the services of fellow defender Shane Cansdell-Sherriff after he saw red on his his comeback against Dale, meaning he now serves another one-match ban. Midfielder Craig Disley, who is currently on the sidelines undergoing rehabilitation on his broken ankle, will undergo a hernia operation next week. However, it is not expected to delay his return and he is still looking at the end of April. Former Town striker Omer Riza should make Shots' matchday 18 having signed a short-term deal with the Hampshire outfit last month, although he is unlikely to start.
