Davies turns down Shrewsbury deal

Shrewsbury Town midfielder Ben Davies has turned down a contract with the League Two club and will leave the Prostar stadium. Davies, who had been offered a new deal by Shrews boss Paul Simpson, joined Town from Chester City in 2006. "Ben won't be coming back to us, he's had offers from other clubs," Simpson told BBC Radio Shropshire. "He asked us if we would match the financial offer, then he would stay, but it was too much."
